Data Deletion
How to request deletion of your data
LaborGenie stores account information — including your name and email address — to operate the training platform at lms.laborgenie.ai. If you signed in using Google, this includes the name, email address, and profile picture we received from your Google account at the time of sign-in.
To request deletion of your data, email privacy@laborgenie.ai with the subject line “Data deletion request” and the email address associated with your account. We will respond within 30 days.
What happens depends on whether you have completed training
If you have not completed any training — you were invited, or signed in but never finished a module — your account is removed outright. That includes your name, email address, profile picture, and any personal account preferences or settings.
If you have completed any training, the account cannot be removed, and we will tell you so rather than quietly doing something else. Completed training is recorded in your organization’s append-only attestation chain, where each record is cryptographically linked to the one before it. Deleting a record breaks verification of every record after it, for the whole organization, permanently. That is the property the chain exists to provide, and it is why the record cannot be unpicked for one person.
In that case we deactivate the account instead: all training assignments stop, sign-in ends, and no further email is sent. Your name and email address are retained as part of the training record, because a compliance record that does not identify who was trained is not a compliance record.
The same applies if you are named on someone else’s record — for example if you approved a curriculum version or countersigned a colleague’s completion. Your identity is that record’s provenance, and removing it would erase who did it.
Removing a retained training record
A retained record belongs to your organization, not to us and not to you individually. If you want it removed, ask your organization’s administrator, who can request it under their agreement with LaborGenie. Your organization can also export a portable copy of your record for you (Admin → Evidence).
Audit trail entries — exports, sign-ins, assignments — are retained in every case. The audit log records what was done, and it is deliberately built to outlive the account it describes.
Revoking Google sign-in access
You can revoke LaborGenie’s access to your Google account at any time through your Google account’s security settings:
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Find LaborGenie in the list of apps with account access
- Select it and choose “Remove access”
Revoking access prevents LaborGenie from using Google sign-in for future sessions. It does not delete your LaborGenie account or training records — submit a deletion request (above) if you want the account removed, subject to the limits described there.
